A man was stabbed in the arm on a busy road near a McDonald's restaurant.

Police officers cordoned off Cricklewood Broadway in Cricklewood and ordered some businesses to close early, after reports of a stabbing on Sunday (January 7) at 7.37pm.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to a fast food restaurant to a man who had suffered a stab injury to his arm.

Images show police right outside McDonald's, but a McDonald's spokesperson said "nothing occurred inside the restaurant last night, so this has nothing to do with us".

The victim, in his 20s, went to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

There have been no arrests at this time and police enquiries continue.
