It’s hard to believe that 2023 is almost over! December is a month we enjoy so much at forum+ as we join together to enjoy the Christmas festivities.

It is also of course a time to look back and reflect upon all that we have achieved in another busy and eventful year for forum+ and the LGBTQ+ community in Camden and Islington.

Throughout 2023 there have been so many special moments that we’ve shared together.

Favourite forum+ events are our regular walks in Camden and Islington’s beautiful green spaces, kayaking at Rainbow Paddlers, so much fun in the kitchen at Cooking With Pride, spoken word performances at Incite!, watching and discussing Queer Cinema at the forum+ Film Club and so much more!

Camden & Islington LGBT History Month 2023 was a fantastic festival of local LGBTQ+ culture, heritage and history and we’re so excited to now be planning for LGBT History Month 2024!

The celebrations take place during the month of February and we invite all the community to join in the festivities taking place online and across Camden and Islington. Email to find out more.

forum+ is aware of the challenges being faced by many people due to the cost-of-living crisis and anxieties around rising energy costs.

Our programme of social activities and events are free to access and in 2024 we are committed to continuing to offer the local LGBTQ+ community the opportunity to engage in events that improve wellbeing, reduce loneliness and celebrate our culture.

While there have been so many wonderful moments of celebration over the last year, hate crime sadly remains an issue in society and our support services for victims of homophobic, biphobic or transphobic harassment or hate crime continue to be very much needed.

It is our mission is to challenge the prejudice that causes hate crime, discrimination and stigma. We are proud to work with Camden Council, Islington Council and to collaborate with everyone in the community to build a safer, more supportive and cohesive society.

Our volunteer team have had a very busy year, supporting our social support groups, organising online events, kitchen support at our fun cookery event Cooking With Pride, survey work and much more!

There is always something engaging and interesting happening at forum+ and if you’d like to support our work please email

We are extremely proud of everything we have collectively achieved over the last year. forum+ could not have done this without the support of our funders Camden Council and Islington Council, and most crucially the engagement of so many wonderful individuals from the local LGBTQ+ community. Thank you all!
