Pupils had a surprise visitor in the shape of BBC TV’s Pudsey Bear for a ‘jam’ session at their school in Tottenham.

The visit to Harris Primary Academy was arranged by jam makers Fearne and Rosie in their partnership with the BBC Children in Need appeal to help “spread goodness” and raise funds for children's education.

The youngsters took part in a baking session to make Pudsey’s strawberry jam cupcakes.

“Pudsey’s visit put a smile on everyone’s face,” Harris Primary vice principal Tom Avery said. “The children enjoyed rolling up their sleeves and baking for Pudsey.”

It was part of the Children In Need appeal on November 17 when the school held a bake sale from all the Pudsey strawberry jam cupcakes and other “jamtastic” recipes.

Fearne and Rosie is on a mission to make healthier alternatives that have natural fruity goodness with 40% less sugar and 50% more fruit than a standard jar of jam.
