Plans to turn a former vegan restaurant into a student common room are among the planning proposals submitted in the last week.

The applications were all in the Ham & High readership area and received by Camden Council between November 13 and November 19.

The council is currently reviewing each application and has yet to make a decision on any of them.

In South Hampstead, one proposal seeks to build a single storey rear outbuilding in Netherhall Gardens (2023/4535/P).

In nearby Frognal, there are plans to build front and rear single storey extensions at ground floor at one property.

There are also plans to enlarge a second floor one bedroom flat in Fairhazel Gardens to create a three-bedroom home (2023/3482/P).

Works would include creating a new mansard level at the third floor, with a terrace to the rear and two dormer windows to front.

The works include the replacement and enlargement of an existing ground floor side extension, installing a rear dormer, roof lights, refuse store, cycle storage, and green wall (2023/4302/P).

Meanwhile, a property in Cressy Road, Gospel Oak, could see a loft conversion with a rear dormer extension and roof lights (2023/3293/P).

In Hampstead Town, one application seeks to convert two flats in Gayton Road into a single home (2023/4530/P).

In Heath Hurst Road, one homeowner has asked permission to build a new ground floor side and rear extension alongside a loft extension (2023/4724/P).

At a property in Twisden Road, Highgate, there is a proposal for a single storey rear infill extension, along with alterations to the existing railings and windows ( 2023/4661/P).

A proposed alteration at a flat in Lady Margaret Road in Kentish Town, would see the replacement of an existing front dormer with a new enlarged one (2023/4588/P).

In Camley Street near Camden Town there are plans to turn a vacant restaurant into a common room for students (2023/3302/P).

According to planning documents, the unit was vacated by vegan restaurant Temple of Seitan in 2020 and has been empty ever since.

There is student accommodation above the unit, so it would be "a convenient location to provide additional space" for them.

At a home in Elliott Square, Primrose Hill, there are plans to convert a garage into a habitable room (2023/0255/P).
