Controversial comics Jimmy Carr and Russell Brand bring their new stand up shows to Wembley this month.
Carr's Terribly Funny 2.0 at The Troubadour Theatre on September 10 sees the Primrose Hill-based comic delivering his latest material which challenges ideas of wokeness.
The blurb warns audiences that "Jimmy’s show contains jokes about all kinds of terrible things. Terrible things that might have affected you or people you know and love. But they’re just jokes - they are not the terrible things. Having political correctness at a comedy show is like having health and safety at a rodeo. Now you’ve been warned, buy a ticket."
Then on September 16 it's Brand's turn to perform his new stand up show Bipolarisation. After amassing a following of 25 million people across his digital channels and podcast Stay Free, the self-styled cultural and political commentator who has been diagnosed with ADHD and bipolar disorder will riff on "rules and rule breaking, democracy and freedom."
The 48-year-old's show includes polling the live audience and seeking their political opinions.
Both comics play at The Troubadour in Wembley Park with Jimmy Carr's Terribly Funny starts at 8pm on September 10 and Russell Brand's Bipolarisation kicking off at 7pm on September 16.
