A naked cyclist has been banned from riding on Hampstead Heath after a series of complaints.

Police and the public had made multiple reports of a male cyclist riding along the Heath over the past few weeks.

One picture shows the cyclist wearing just a backpack, what appears to be a shirt covering his shoulders and white socks and shoes - but with his chest and genitals completely exposed.

Zoë, who has lived in West Hampstead for 15 years, said that it’s “not as safe as once felt” in the area after reports of attacks and men exposing themselves.

She said: “We need to be clear the Heath and Hampstead do not welcome this.”

Similar instances of indecency include dismissed Met officer Detective Constable Dariusz Alexander, who was found to have exposed himself at the Heath in March this year.

The City of London Corporation, which manages Hampstead Heath as a registered charity, has confirmed that there have been “multiple reports” of the cyclist from both Metropolitan Police and members of the public.

A spokesperson said: “This individual was identified by the Hampstead Heath Constabulary last Thursday, after being alerted by the MPS and a member of the public.

“Due to the large number of complaints made against him, Hampstead Heath Constabulary officers used their powers under Heath byelaws to ban the individual from the site.

“He complied fully and was escorted off the Heath without incident."
