The family of a man stabbed to death in London said their lives have also been “lost” after the fatal attack.

Adnan Saleh, 28, was “brutally” stabbed to death in Paddington last June.

Three men from Lisson Grove were jailed for his murder at the Old Bailey yesterday (June 27).

It followed an investigation by Specialist Crime detectives that identified Steven Woods, Majid Kebire and Fadel Dabbous as being responsible for the attack on Adnan.

The court heard that a week prior to the attack on June 11, 2022, Adnan had received messages on Snapchat which alleged he was present during the stabbing of another man.

Arrangements were then made between Adnan and the man who had been stabbed to meet in the Paddington area.

The court heard that each of the defendants had a role to play and all knew exactly where to go for the planned attack.

The group, which included Woods, Kebire, Dabbous and the man who had previously been stabbed, entered Junction Mews at around 6.30pm.

CCTV captured the moment Dabbous passed Woods a knife.

As Adnan entered Junction Mews, Woods produced the knife and swung it at him.

The 28-year-old attempted to flee towards Sale Place, but Woods and Dabbous caught up with him and launched another attack.

Kebire was then said to have watched, then approached the melee, producing a knife which he then used to fatally stab Adnan near his collar-bone.

Adnan was later found collapsed in Sale Place and was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.

He had suffered catastrophic bran damage due to severe blood loss and died on November 29, 2022 after being in a coma.

In a victim impact statement presented to the court, one of the 28-year-old’s family members said: "Adnan’s life wasn’t the only one that was lost that day, you’ve taken mine, his mother’s and his family’s life. We’ve begun our life sentence."

The sentences handed down to the three attackers were as follows:

  • Steven Woods, 27, of Lilestone Street, Lisson Grove, was sentenced to life imprisonment, to serve a minimum of 22 years
  • Majid Kebire, 22, also of Lilestone Street, Lisson Grove, was sentenced to life imprisonment, to serve a minimum of 22 years
  • Fadel Dabbous, 19, of Grendon Street, Lisson Grove, was sentenced to life imprisonment, to serve a minimum of 18 years
