Entrepreneurs wishing to get their hands on a commercial property are in luck with several restaurants, pubs and cafes on the market.

Here are some of the venues real estate agents are offering to potential new businesspeople.

The New Inn, St John’s Wood

The New Inn was given a new lease of life after is closure in November 2021, as it reopned under new ownership as a restaurant. 

Now it is on the market again.

In the announcement for the initial closure in 2021, the former owners wrote: “It’s with a heavy heart that we have to inform you we have closed down.

“We would like to thank all of our loyal patrons for your customs and wish you good luck for the future.

“Covid-19 changed the world as we know It and we held on as long as we could for to bounce back, bun unfortunately unable to.”

Located in Allitsen Road, the 4,611sq ft Victoria-style pub is on the market as well as its six hotel rooms.

The pub also has pavement seating for 24 people and is available for freehold for £3,500,000.


Nayla Café, Finchley Road

Established in 2020, the café is on the market due to a change in personal circumstances, commercial estate agent Hilton Smythe has said.

The business was taken over soon after its launch in 2021.

It operate all week and reportedly generates a turnover of around £260,000 per annum, with a high gross profit margin.

A description of the listing reads: “We feel there is scope to increase the turnover by extending the opening hours and pushing outside catering.

Polly’s, South End Road, Hampstead Heath

This café has a floor area of 968sq ft and is located just by Hampstead Heath station.

Of a 20-year lease, 11 years remain and the business in South End Road benefits from a restaurant drinks licence.
