"Racist" stickers and anti-vaccination graffiti have “blighted” streets in north London.

Camden Council says it has already removed some of the markings, including stickers promoting neo-Nazi organisation British Movement, a wall with messages regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict and a sticker that reads “underwear can’t stop a fart and you think a mask works?”.

However Zoë, who has lived in West Hampstead for 15 years, has flagged even more graffiti along Finchley Road that share messages such as “vaccines are fake” and to “escape the matrix”.

The concerned resident says she has noticed these cropping up in various spots along Blackburn Road, Finchley Road, Wedderburn Road and near to Billy Fury Way.

Zoë, who wishes to not share her surname, says that she is “fed up” of having to tear down the stickers herself, claiming she removed 15 within one hour.

She claims that the “disgusting” issue has been ongoing for months and she tried flagging it to councillors.

Similar graffiti has been spotted outside the British Heart Foundation on Finchley Road, with social commentary on the cost of living crisis and workers striking.

Outside Rose Café in Finchley Road, a message read: “It is not a conspiracy to think pharma firms might be reclass for profit.

“It is not anti-vaccer [vaxxer] to think an untested treatment might have side effects.”

Cllr Adam Harrison, the cabinet member for a sustainable Camden, said on Twitter: “We always prioritise removing material of this sort.

“Now I have seen it, I will make sure our team get to it as soon as possible, if they have not already.”

Cllr Harrison encourages that anyone who sees similar issues to use the Love Clean Streets app to quickly report the environmental issues and make the council aware of anything that needs cleaning up.
