An EastEnders and Strictly star paid a surprise visit to a deaf charity - where she danced with a 90 year-old celebrating their birthday.
Actress and Strictly Come Dancing 2021 winner Rose Ayling-Ellis visited the Jewish Deaf Association (JDA), in Woodside Park Road, Mill Hill, on March 1.
Rose, who was born deaf and uses British Sign Language, delighted members, volunteers and staff by answering questions about competing on Strictly and her time on BBC 1's soap opera EastEnders.
The actress, who moved many viewers to tears with her 'silent' dance on Strictly, then took a lead position to dance with JDA member Leslie Masters, who was celebrating his 90th birthday.
Rose, who won Strictly's Glitterball trophy with the show's Italian professional dancer, Giovanni Pernice, in December 2021, also spoke about costumes and how she was selected for the show.
JDA is the only charity in the Jewish community to support deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing people.
A spokesperson for the charity said: "The room was electric and full of laughter and happiness as Rose answered many questions and posed for lots of photos before joining members for lunch and bidding everyone farewell."
