Arsene Wenger warns Arsenal must hit the ground running - then sees his side lose 1-0 at Sunderland in the season opener, former Gunner Niall Quinn netting the Black Cats' winner on 53 minutes.
Patrick Vieira saw red as the visitors dominated proceedings and Wenger admitted afterwards: "We will win the championship if we dominate games like that for the rest of the season. We had seven or eight one-on-ones and still lost. I have not lost a game like that in England before.'" Meanwhile, Arsenal announced they have banned 37 fans from Highbury following disturbances before the previous season's Uefa Cup final with Galatasaray in Copenhagen.
