Arsene Wenger said Arsenal could win their first title since 1991 after his side's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.
Dwight Yorke and Savo Milosevic cancelled out goals from Ian Wright and Paul Merson, but Wenger, whose side remained unbeaten at home and had only lost three times in the league, was upbeat: "When I came here winning the championship was just a dream - now it is our ambition.
"Sure we have dropped points recently but the points for draws can be crucial at the end of the season."
Meanwhile, when Merson was asked whether he has any New Year resolutions, he replied: "I don't think so, I've given everything up.
