Somalis in Camden are meeting to pledge their support for a British couple who were kidnapped by pirates of the coast of Somalia.
The Somali Community Centre, based in Gospel Oak is holding a rally on Sunday to call for the release of Paul and Rachel Chandler who were taken hostage in their yacht on October 23 last year.
The gathering is being publicised in the Somali media to try to put pressure on their captives to hand over the couple.
Omar Yusuf from the community centre said: "We want to explore ways how we can contribute to their release, which we want to happen as soon as possible."
The meeting will start at 3pm at the Camden Centre on Bidborough Street, Euston.
