THE Washington Pub in Belsize Park was forced to close its doors on Tuesday night because of a burst water pipe on Finchley Road.
The pub, along with hundreds of homes, was left without water throughout the night while Thames Water repaired the leak caused by a one inch hole in the mains pipe.
The leak was the second to hit the area this week after Swiss Cottage tube station had to shut down on Monday because of flooding on the tracks.
Belsize councillor Jonny Bucknell said: "I went to the Washington and it was all shut down because it did not have any water and a huge swathe of houses was affected by the leak as well."
Thames Water has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
