A WOMAN was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a block of maisonettes in Highgate.
The fire brigade were called to the seven storey building in North Hill just after 5.30am yesterday morning. The woman, who had already escaped by the time fire officers arrived at the scene, was treated for smoke inhalation.
A split level maisonette on the sixth and seventh floors was partly damaged by the blaze. Four fire engines and 20 firefighters from Hornsey and Kentish Town stations attended the incident. The fire was under control by 6.40am and the cause of it is currently under investigation.
