The Odeon Swiss Cottage has been transformed to its 1936 glory – with a touch of 21st century wizardry.
Most new cinemas built over the past decade have been massive out of town multi-screens, but Odeon invests in bringing its iconic central London locations back into use.
The Odeon Swiss Cottage has attempted to keep the magic of the cinema’s 1930s heydey within a consciously 2011 setting as it reopened to the public on Friday (September 16).
This �3million development does not scrimp on the high-tech. And with the first north London IMAX offering something genuinely different screening 3D films, it is hoping to bring a touch of glamour.
A new bar features refurbished art deco windows flooding in light and the iconic Odeon O is lit up in pink.
The women’s toilets take their cue from a show girls dressing room and, with radiator covers that have been lovingly restored, they just about manage it.
