The funnymen of north London gathered in Belsize Park over the weekend to watch one of their number tie the knot.
Comedian David Mitchell married journalist Victoria Coren at St Peter’s Church around the corner from their home on Saturday. Peep Show co-star and best friend Robert Webb was on hand to quell any last-minute jitters as best man and chums Frank Skinner, David Baddiel and Jimmy Carr also pitched up for the star-studded ceremony.
Mitchell, 38, tweeted: “Thanks so much for all the lovely tweets about our wedding yesterday. Having trouble phrasing it but the gist is: I’m incredibly happy.”
Coren was supported by her brother Times restaurant critic Giles Coren and TV presenter Claudia Winkleman at the nuptial.
She tweeted: “Thanks very much for your nice tweets. It was a brilliant day and we’re ridiculously happy. Off on exotic honeymoon now. First stop: Preston. Magical in the rain. See you in December.”
