A proposal to demolish the Ham&High office building and replace it with a 24-storey development will be discussed at a public meeting next week.

More than 3,000 square metres of space for shops and 190 flats, as well as a restaurant, pub and offices, would form part of the complex, which would replace the existing block at 100 Avenue Road in Hampstead.

Camden Council has invited residents to discuss the proposals on Tuesday at the Marriott Hotel Regent’s Park in King Henry’s Road, Swiss Cottage, from 7pm until 9pm.

David Reed, 72, of Eton Avenue, said he fears the scale of the development.
