A sell-out crowd packed into the London Jewish Cultural Centre for a stimulating discussion about anti-Semitism with a Booker Prize-winning author and world-leading academic.
Novelist Howard Jacobson, who picked up the Man Booker Prize in 2010 for The Finkler Question, and anti-Semitism world expert Prof Robert Wistrich debated the topic at the centre in North End Road, Golders Green, on Monday of last week.
The debate, hosted by acclaimed journalist Dominic Lawson, explored the reality of United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-moon’s statement in October: “Anti-semitism has no place in the 21st century.”
