The community turned up in droves for a public meeting to discuss much-maligned plans to redevelop a historic bowling club.
More than 50 people packed into York Rise Church Hall in York Rise, Dartmouth Park, on Sunday to have their say on proposals lodged with Camden Council to build homes on the 100-year-old Mansfield Bowling Club land in Croftdown Road, Dartmouth Park.
Developers Generator Group want to build 21 homes, tennis courts, a sports pavilion and community garden on land left to the public.
Patrick Lefevre, chairman of the Dartmouth Park Conservation Area Advisory Committee said: “The main message was that we have to see these people off once and for all.” He described the plans as “horrendous”.
