Two Highgate pupils have won a capital-wide competition run by the NHS to promote the range of careers within the health service.

Lucy Faber and Lea Chehabeddine, of Channing School, are the regional winners of the national Step Into the NHS schools competition.

They impressed judges with their proposal for how to promote the role of midwives, which included a film to advertise the job.

Headteacher Barbara Elliott said: “We are thrilled and very proud of Lucy and Lea.

‘‘This competition has proven to be a valuable classroom tool, engaging students with the workings of the health service and the different career options available.”
