A star pupil from a school in Hampstead Garden Suburb has been dubbed Britain’s brightest girl after making it to the final of a television series featuring child geniuses.
Sasha Gordon, 12, a student at Henrietta Barnett School, fought off intense competition from the country’s brainiest pupils to make it to the grand final of Channel 4’s Child Genius programme which was aired last night.
Sasha chose the life of Anne Frank as her specialist subject for the televised head-to-head finale.
In an exciting decider she narrowly lost out on the Child Genius crown by just five points to Thomas Frith from Yorkshire.
She said: “ I didn’t think I’d get very far but the experience has been great.”
