Carry On star Fenella Fielding came out in support of an East Finchley dog rehoming charity at a charity auction and raffle.
All Dogs Matter raised £2,500 at the fundraiser at Burgh House in Flask Walk, Hampstead, on Sunday.
Among those who donated items for the raffle and auction was Hampstead Chatty Man comedian Alan Carr, who donated four tickets to his new comedy show. East Finchley soap actress Michelle Collins outbid the crowd to claim the tickets. Ms Fielding, known as England’s first lady of the double entendre, read an excerpt from Hampstead animal welfare campaigner Angela Humphery’s book Memoirs of a Party Animal.
All Dogs Matter general manager Ira Moss said: “It was really good, we sold out and there was a full house.”
