Tottenham have been handed a repeat of last season’s last-32 tie in the Europa League after being drawn against Fiorentina again.
The Italian side knocked Spurs out of the competition at the same stage in February, drawing 1-1 at White Hart Lane and then triumphing 2-0 on their own turf.
This time, having won their group, Tottenham will have home advantage in the second leg, with the matches scheduled for Thursday February 18 and 25.
It is another case of deja vu for Spurs in a cup draw, and another chance for revenge. Last week they were drawn at home against Leicester in the third round of the FA Cup – again, the very match they lost when they exited the tournament in the fourth round last season.
