Police have found a nine-year-old girl who was taken out of hospital before she could be treated for a potentially serious illness.
It was thought the girl – who attended St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington on Sunday – had type 1 diabetes and could have gone into a coma if not treated immediately.
She was taken to the hospital at 5.42pm by a man and woman that police believe are her parents.
A high blood sugar count indicated the girl had type 1 diabetes, but she was taken away from the hospital – at 7.44pm – before this could be confirmed.
Police announced that they had found the girl this morning, explaining that she is now “safe and well”.
