LABOUR is due to launch proposals for a greener Barnet tomorrow - including a freeze on resident parking permit charges until 2008.
The You Deserve A Cleaner Barnet mini-manifesto includes a 40 per cent recycling target, safeguarding children's play areas, the green belt and open spaces, and promoting biodiversity of local habitats. It also sets out Labour's approach to parking. Last week, the party launched an anti-social behaviour mini-manifesto - the first of its kind in Barnet.
Proposals include a joint council and police approach to tackling drug abuse, increasing CCTV to crime hotspots and the use of anti-social behaviour orders.
