NEW weekly food waste collections in Hampstead will see rubbish turned into high quality compost.
Some households in Hampstead, Frognal and Fitzjohns, Gospel Oak and Belsize wards will now have a free weekly food and garden waste collection.
Camden Council is piloting the scheme for a year in a bid to make the borough greener.
Once collected, it is turned into compost to be used in agriculture, parks and gardens.
