The game looked to be heading for a draw before England Under-19 international Rhys Murphy broke the deadlock 12 minutes from time. With Ipswich searching for an equaliser the Gunners secured all three points when Murphy scored his second just six minutes from the end.
Steve Bould's side have no fixture this weekend, returning to league action at Portsmouth on Saturday November 15.
