Nick Davey volleyed the Canaries into a first-half lead and Danny Kelly added a second nine minutes after the break when he raced through to score at the second attempt.
Sanchez Watt halved the deficit for the home side but Norwich hung on to claim all three points. Steve Bould's side now have a month-long break from league action before entertaining Ipswich in January.
