Mauricio Pochettino has selected several young players in Tottenham’s touring party

The Spurs squad travelled out to Singapore today and a notable absentee was defender Danny Rose.

He was one of several players left back at Hotspur Way and a move away from the club now looks a real possibility.

When announcing the news, a statement read: "Ben Davies, Eric Dier and Cameron Carter-Vickers will continue their rehabilitation at Hotspur Way.

"Vincent Janssen, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Danny Rose have been granted additional time off in order to explore prospective opportunities with other clubs.

"Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez and Victor Wanyama will return to Enfield to start pre-season training next week following commitments with their national teams at tournaments."

Christian Eriksen did travel to Asia though, despite his future being up in the air after his claims last month.

Toby Alderweireld, who is being chased by AS Roma, is another to be part of Mauricio Pochettino's squad, which suggests he could be staying with the club.

Kieran Trippier, like Rose, was not part of the travelling party as he closes in on a move away.

England's right-back is in Spain to undertake a medical at Atletico Madrid ahead of a switch to the La Liga outfit.

It leaves Tottenham Hotspur with limited options at full-back for the International Champions Cup, with their campaign in the tournament starting on Sunday.

Spurs will take on Juventus in a 12.30pm (UK time) kick-off at the National Stadium in Singapore before games against Manchester United and Inter Milan later on in the summer.

Pochettino will have to rely on Kyle Walker-Peters and converted right-back Juan Foyth on the right side of defence while on the left is another problem with Anthony Georgiou a potential deputy.

He is one of several youngsters who are out in Asia for the tour alongside goalkeepers Jonathan De Bie and Alfie Whiteman.

Defenders Japhet Tanganga and Brooklyn Lyons-Foster have also been given a chance to impress alongside midfielder foursome Oliver Skipp, Harvey White, Jamie Bowden and George Marsh.

Further up the pitch, Jack Roles is part of the travelling party and so is highly-rated forward Troy Parrott along with most of the usual first-teamers, but it is the absence of Rose and Trippier which draws the most attention.
