Premier League: Norwich City 2 Tottenham Hotspur 2

Harry Kane's late equaliser from the spot rescued a point for Spurs as they drew 2-2 at Norwich City.

Mario Vrancic had given Norwich the lead in the first half before the Canaries had a Teemu Pukki goal ruled out for offside after VAR intervened.

Christian Eriksen's free-kick soon after the restart was quickly cancelled out by Serge Aurier's own goal but Kane struck late on to hand Tottenham a point.

Canaries left-back Jamal Lewis had the first attempt of the game on seven minutes, driving a powerful effort wide of the post from distance.

The home side had a good chance to take the lead on nine minutes when a mix-up between Eriksen and Tanguy Ndombele gave Marco Stiepermann the chance to burst into the box and shoot at goal, with Paulo Gazzaniga getting down well to save.

But two minutes later, Tottenham should have had the lead when Kane teed up Dele in the box who shot well over.

And on 16 minutes, Spurs wasted another great chance when Toby Alderweireld picked out Kane with an over the top through ball but Tim Krul got out well to save.

It was the Canaries who took the lead however as Vrancic found the bottom corner with a smart finish after Juan Foyth had lost the ball in a dangerous area to Emi Buendia.

Ten minutes later, the dangerous Onel Hernandez powered a strike past the post for Norwich after cutting in on his right foot.

Norwich thought they had taken a 2-0 lead on 33 minutes when Vrancic found Teemu Pukki with a long ball over the top, with the striker controlling with his chest and finishing past Gazzaniga.

But after the celebrations had taken place, VAR intervened and ruled that Pukki had strayed into an offside position and the goal was disallowed as Norwich took a one-goal lead into the break.

Moments after the restart, Dele had the chance to get his side back in the game when he burst through on goal only for Christoph Zimmerman to slide in and block his shot.

And Spurs had their equaliser ten minutes after the restart when Eriksen curled a free-kick over the wall and past Krul from the edge of the box after Lewis had handled the ball.

But just after the hour mark, Spurs went behind again through an own goal when Alderweireld's challenge on Pukki came off Aurier before beating Gazzaniga.

Spurs looked for an instant response as Krul got down well to save Giovani Lo Celso's low effort.

With just nine minutes remaining, Dele burst through the middle and played in Kane who was brought down by Zimmermann.

The referee pointed to the spot and Kane stepped up to send Krul the wrong way and smash home the spot-kick.

Substitute Lamela then tested Krul with a dipping effort as Jose Mourinho's side went in search of a winner.

But they could not find it as they had to settle for a point at Carrow Road.
