That was when Arsenal, the holders, somehow managed to blow a 2-1 lead with less than 20 minutes to go, to lose 3-2 to Luton Town in the Littlewoods Cup final at the old Wembley.

Somewhat unfairly, Caesar was blamed for the defeat and was never forgiven by the Arsenal faithful, but this week he told Ham&high reporter that the club remains close to his heart - although his views on the new Emirates Stadium may surprise some.
