If you haven’t heard of Airbnb, you must be living under a rock. The online renting website allows individuals to rent properties directly from the owner of a property who lists it on the site, and provides an easy and efficient way of letting out your home, albeit to strangers.

From castles in Scotland to private islands in the Maldives and treehouses in the deep south of America, Airbnb lists everything and anything which could be used as a resting place, mattress-permitting. Here’s what the site serves up in our neck of the woods.

Camden Cool, Camden

At £140, this Camden maisonette is spread over two floors and benefits from a backyard. The kitchen of the period home has exposed brickwork and open shelves as does one of the double bedrooms, while the furniture in the living area adds a little rustic charm to this urban home.
