What’s special about your agency?

When I first considered working in property I knew that I only wanted to work for a boutique agency specialising at the top end of the market. I also wanted to work for an agency that would enable me to not only utilise my existing skills but would also support me to become the best estate agent that I possibly could be. Aston Chase was the perfect fit.

Where do you live and with whom?

I live in Mill Hill and have two amazing children, a daughter Mia (daddy’s girl!) aged 6 and a son Tyler aged 4.

Why did you buy your current property? What’s your favourite thing about it?

I am presently in between homes and am renting a really cool top floor conversion in Mill Hill featuring great views of the open spaces of Totteridge.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

A lot of my spare time is currently taken up by the Norwood Annual Charity Boxing Dinner. After three years on the committee I now Co-Chair the event and this year’s dinner is will take place at the Lancaster London Hotel on Wednesday 24 February 2016. David Baddiel is our guest comedian and there will be live auction prizes including VIP Coldplay tickets, Sam Smith signed disk for his Bond theme tune and a money can’t buy trip for four people get to go to the Force India F1 Team Factory at Silverstone. If you weren’t an estate agent what would you be?

Prior to working for Aston Chase I was involved with sponsorship around Formula One, football and music and if I were to leave the property industry, I think I would resume that career as I have kept in touch with many of my old contacts.

When did you buy your first property and what was it like?

I purchased my first property in Hadley Wood when I was 17. It was a very small one-bedroom apartment which overlooked the forest of Hadley Green. When I came to sell the flat house prices in the area had significantly increased and I was amazed by how much it had appreciated in value.

What’s the most surprising thing you’ve seen on the job?

I’ve seen all sorts over the years, some of which is most certainly not suitable for this publication!

How has the local property market changed since you started out?

Nearly all of the areas in which we specialise are conservation areas and are thus protected, so, not too much changes architecturally but we have seen an influx of international buyers in North West London and in particular (in recent years) French in Hampstead and Highgate and Russians in and around the St John’s Wood area.

What are your top tips for the local area?

It is very difficult to beat an early morning run over Hampstead Heath (wonderful to see the fog lifting off London’s skyline) or a late afternoon walk with the dog on Primrose Hill. My personal favourite eatery is a great little pan Asian restaurant called Oka on Regent’s Park Road, Primrose Hill.

Are you good at Monopoly?

Pretty good especially as I always make a point of securing the prime locations as you would no doubt expect from an estate agent working at Aston Chase!
