My perfect day out in north London… if the sun was out it would start with a walk up to Kenwood House with my girlfriend to get a lovely brunch before walking overthe Heath to finally reach the our first stop on our weekend pub crawl, the Freemason Arms. As to where it ends? Who knows.
I exchanged on my first property… about 8 months ago. I bought it off plan in the Beaufort Park development, which was built by Berkeley Group. The beauty of this purchase is that it doesn’t complete for another 18 months! So I have time to decide whether I will live there, sell it or let it out.
At the moment I’d prefer a new build home… I love the idea of moving into a brand new property that no one else has lived in before, plus all the perks of my new property, which has access to a gym, spa, underground parking, outside space, minutes’ walk to a station and shops all on my doorstep.
The day I settle down and have a family… I would love to own a rare gem of house, possibly tucked away in a private road or cul-de-sac in Hampstead or Hampstead Garden Suburb that would have a cosy and homely feel to it
Everyone in my family… is in the business of property from commercial to residential to planning and construction, so I thought I might as well start somewhere!
I would love to tell you some of the hilarious stories we hear on a daily basis… but it wouldn’t be right to start speaking about others, and besides discretion is key in this business.
As the years have gone on working in the area… I find more and more young couples are migrating from Hampstead to Hampstead Garden Suburb to get the extra space they desire for slightly less money. These people still benefit from being close to public transport, getting their kids into the best schools in north London but also being surrounded by the beautiful green spaces
The biggest deal I have done was not necessarily the most satisfying … I once dealt with an applicant for over two years! During that time his requirements changed constantly, but we did it in the end! We went through a lot together and he happens to be good friend to this day.
If I could own any building in London… it would have to be the Emirates Stadium. While I’m at it I would also whip my team into shape so we could start winning trophies again!
My most interesting client was Margot Robbie… I showed her four beautiful properties in Hampstead, we had such a laugh. Best hour and a half at ‘work’ of my life.
If I had to sum up Glentree… I would say we are a blend of entrepreneurship with institutional disciplines. Working for one of the longest established, independently owned estate agents in north west London gives us a unique insight into the industry, which, quite frankly, most agents will never experience.
I’m good at Monopoly… but then again who isn’t? I have only played a few times, though, and it wouldn’t be my first choice of board games to play!
