The Marylebone block of 164 flats was the former home of the band’s first manager Andrew Oldham, who used his apartment as his office in 1964.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and Brian Jones were frequent visitors, and the young band were regularly photographed leaving via the front steps.
Drummer Charlie must have enjoyed his visits to the locale, as he rented his own property in the Gloucester Place pad in 1965, which he shared with his wife Shirley.
The band had previously all lived together in a squalid shared flat in Chelsea, where romantic lore has it that they ate cold baked beans out of the tin before being propelled to superstardom.
