In this week’s edit there are some stunning Primrose Hill interiors and a gem of a renovation project in West Hampstead.
Albert Terrace, Primrose Hill, NW1, £5,950,000
The old adage that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover still holds true in many situations, but in this instance it’s impossible not to be impressed by the grand façade of this Primrose Hill period conversion.
Luckily the interior lives up to the high expectations set by the white stucco frontage. The lower ground floor boasts a large and impressive kitchen, complete with a centre island and plenty of marble and brushed steel. The main reception room is also particularly arresting, with high ceilings, a feature fireplace and a bay window running the width of the room with views out over the park.

Upstairs on the garden level are four bedrooms as well as a study that could easily become a fifth bed sound you require the space. The principal suite has doors out on to the terrace and a rather swanky walk in wardrobe cum dressing room.
At just under £6 million it’s pricey even by London standards, but the luxe interiors and excellent address make for a killer combination.

Agamemnon Road, West Hampstead, NW6, £1,350,000
This mid terrace Victorian house right by Fortune Green is a renovator’s dream come true. All the lovely original features are still in place, including a couple of rather lovely tiled and marble fireplaces and lovely bay windows at the front.
Everything else has been stripped back to the rather grim stained and salmon pink walls and retro built in wardrobes. Rip those out, crack out the paintbrushes or fling up some trendy wallpaper and you’d already be halfway to a lovely abode.
The kitchen is also ripe for a refit, and the crazy paving garden could do with a bit of love. With four bedrooms and plenty of space this has all the ingredients for a really lovely family home in an attractive area.
Savills, 020 7472 5000
Southampton Road, Kentish Town, NW5, £599,950
The £600,000 benchmark for affordability is now defunct, but there’s no question that this two bedroom garden flat would make a fantastic first home.
It has its own private entrance and has been lovingly decorated by the current owners. You can’t fail to be cheered by the fun touches such as the brightly painted feature walls or the chalkboard wall in the kitchen. There are wooden floorboards throughout and a sweet garden at the rear complete with trees and a bright blue shed. The bathroom could do with an update but it’s not urgent so you can save it for a rainy day a year or so down the line once you’ve had a chance to build up some funds.
The location on Southampton Road is brilliant too, straddling Kentish Town and Belsize Park and the Heath is just up the road.
Benham & Reeves, 020 7284 0101
Princess Road, Primrose Hill, NW1, £3,033 pcm (£700 pw)
This beautiful rental property has just been made available for a long let and comes fully – and tastefully – furnished.
The flat is full Primrose Hill, with white walls, white painted wooden floors throughout and a very trendy velvet sofa in deep blue. The bright reception room has large windows and a pretty feature fireplace with enough room to fit a dining table in too. The kitchen all-white kitchen is compact but cleverly fits everything with room to spare for a café style table for breakfast a deux. You’ll want to stick around for the summer in order to make the most of the walled patio garden. It comes complete with a BBQ and looks set to be a sun trap. This would make an ideal home for a sophisticated single who loves to entertain, or a couple looking to try out the delights of Primrose Hill.
