What do you do when you want to look around a property that hasn’t been built yet?

Unless you’re a super wealthy investor snapping up another piece in your property portfolio you’d probably want a shufti at what your mortgage is going to get you, but so often properties are bought up before the buildings are complete.

Fairview property developers solved this quandary by making the most of what modern technology has to offer.

Attendees at the launch weekends for Thirty2, a new development of luxury apartments in Hampstead, were able to look around the show apartment using virtual reality headsets.

Jim Holliday, sales and marketing director for Fairview, said:

“Purchasing months ahead of build completion is commonplace now, and the first homes at Thirty2 will be ready for occupation in March – so at this stage, with our on-site Marketing Suite set to open in the new year, we felt that it would be useful to hold a detailed exhibition.”

Visitors were able to use the technology to explore an apartment in the Lawn Road development and use as an 3Dinteractive model of the one, two and three bedroom apartments to view the location of each plot.

The showcase was evidently a success and the four available apartments already reserved, with more due to be released shortly.

Mr Holliday added: “The virtual reality system has been key to our sales so far, as the system really helps to bring the apartments to life, which can be reassuring when it comes to buying off-plan and shows off the high specification available.”

The finished homes will include granite worktops, integrated wine coolers an in-line water descaler, and the penthouse apartments will come with views over the London skyline.

Properties in the development range from £510,000 for a studio to over £990,000 for a three bedroom apartment.
