A Primrose Hill primary school has opened its new playground and garden.
Pupils at St Paul’s Church of England Primary in Elsworthy Road can crawl through a tunnel, climb up ropes, clamber on new equipment, play sports on artificial turf and grow vegetables in the outside space.
There is also a nature learning zone covered in woodchip where teachers will teach pupils about sustainable food sources.
The co-educational school raised the funds for the first phase of the project to redevelop its old concrete playground but will be asking parents to donate money for the next stage.
The playground and nature learning zone were opened on Thursday with mulled wine and carol singing.
“They seemed really happy with it,” school administrator Elliott Bergin said of the pupils.
