A nursery is celebrating being judged as outstanding for the second time in four years.
Holly Bush Nursery in Redston Road, Hornsey, was given the highest possible rating by education watchdog Ofsted in all categories in a report published last week.
It was praised for promoting children’s good health and providing them with “stimulating learning experiences”.
Nursery owner Brenda Pond said: “It was fabulous to get an outstanding Ofsted the first time, so it was all to play for. It’s been nearly four years, so it was great. You have got to have confidence in what you are doing.
“We are really happy and celebrating, for the parents, for the children and for the team here.”
Inspector Bushra Khan wrote in her report: “All children are given opportunities to flourish in their learning. Children are confident in their play choices and successfully initiate activities for themselves.
“Staff support children well during group play by skilfully extending children’s learning, to further enhance their understanding.
“For example, children delight in water play as they bathe toy sea creatures.”
