Pupils from University College School (UCS) fulfilled their dreams of winning signed Arsenal football kit and meeting a former club chief at a charity auction for cystic fibrosis research.
David Dein, a former Arsenal director, hosted the auction at UCS in Frognal, and spoke about the thrills and spills of premiership football.
He donated a shirt and a football signed by the entire Arsenal squad.
Arsenal star Andrei Arshavin, who has been loaned to Zenit St Petersburg and has links to UCS, donated a signed football shirt.
Arshavin’s shirt was won by junior school pupil, Jonah Kaplan, 10, and fellow student Josh Keppel, 11, scooped the signed ball.
“They’re both huge football fans and they loved meeting David Dein,” said Tania Levenfiche, chairman of UCS senior school parents’ guild.
“He [Mr Dein] was an excellent speaker. He was very personable and kept everybody entertained with his stories.
“He gave us a great insight into the ethics of football and the personalities of the players and gave the boys the answers to the questions they had always wanted to ask.”
A total of £1,200 was raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust through ticket sales and bids for the football memorabilia.
