Made of up of students from City of Westminster College and College of North West London, which merged together last year, the team will be writing news leads, features and columns in the next edition of the Ham&High – as well as a host of material online.

After two days of mentoring earlier last week, which saw students learning the ropes with a series of journalism, commercial and video sessions, the team will now be working to deadlines to produce stories for the paper.

On top of this, up to two of the crop of students who impress during the takeover will win a 10-week paid internship at the Ham&High during the summer holidays.
