Children have been tumbling into the topsy-turvy world of Lewis Carroll as part of a action-packed project to teach youngsters how to perform.

Drama school Perform put on the Easter holiday workshops, such as the one pictured at Highgate United Reform Church, to help them put on a production of Alice in Wonderland in front of family and friends.

A team of actors, musicians and dancers worked their magic to guide the children every step of the way and encourage them to project their voices, learn energetic dance routines and sing catchy songs ahead of their performances.

This involved taking tea with The Mad Hatter, a game of imaginary flamingo croquet and even a chat with The Cheshire Cat.

Each child completing the workshops – which also took place at the Mansergh Club in St John’s Wood, Hall School in Belsize Park and Primrose Hill Community Centre – received a certificate to celebrate everything they’d achieved.
