Two women have been filmed allegedly tearing down posters of kidnapped Israeli civilians outside a Tube station.

The incident took place just before 6pm yesterday (October 12) at Mornington Crescent station, according to Neta Fibeesh who filmed the video.

In the footage, which was subsequently shared online, two women can be seen ripping down posters appearing to show kidnapped Israeli citizens.

It comes after more than 100 hostages were taken by Hamas from southern Israel after it launched an attack from Gaza over the weekend.

Israel has subsequently launched retaliatory strikes against the enclave, killing more than 1,400 Palestinians. Around 1,300 Israelis have been killed by Hamas.

In the video, the two women can be heard saying: “This is for Palestine”.

A voice in the background of the footage can be heard replying: “They’re not mutually exclusive – it’s children, it’s innocent people.”

One of the women tearing down the posters retorts: “What about the children in Palestine?”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said that the force is aware of the footage and that it is “currently being assessed”.
