A section of the Bakerloo line and London Overground has closed for repairs.

Network Rail is set to carry out improvement works on the northern section of the Bakerloo line and the Overground line from Euston to Watford Junction over the next month.

From today (July 23) the Bakerloo line between Queen’s Park and Harrow & Wealdstone is shut, and the Overground between Euston and Watford Junction.

Work to the Bakerloo line is set to continue until August 17, while Overground services will be affected until August 25.

TfL said that the urgent works were necessary to upgrade the track and infrastructure on the two lines, and that it would ensure journeys are more reliable in the future.

Here is a full breakdown of the closures:

Phase 1 - Sunday July 23 to Sunday July 30

 

  • Bakerloo line closed between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone
  • London Overground closed between Euston and Watford Junction

Phase 2 - Monday July 31 to Thursday August 10

 

  • Bakerloo line closed between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone
  • London Overground closed between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction

Phase 3 - Friday August 11 to Thursday August 17

 

  • Bakerloo line closed between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone
  • London Overground closed between Euston and Watford Junction

Phase 4 - Friday August 18 to Friday August 25

 

  • Bakerloo line fully open
  • London Overground closed between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction
