Robson beat Date-Krumm 6-4, 6-4

Wimbledon resident Laura Robson cruised into the second round of the China Open with a comfortable victory over Kimiko Date-Krumm.

The world number 57 saw of her 42-year-old Japanese opponent in straight sets, winning 6-4, 6-4.

She will now face Lourdes Dominguez Lion in the second round in Beijing.
