Hendon were denied a place in the semi-finals of the Bostik League’s Velocity Trophy after defeat at Silver Jubilee Park on Tuesday.

The Greens were made to pay for individual errors, as the visitors booked a spot in the last four.

Only 13 minutes had been played when Max Oldham put Casuals ahead, with Josh Uzun making it 2-0 just past the half-hour mark.

Hendon hit back before the interval thanks to a Niko Muir penalty – his 30th goal of the season – after loanee Joe White was bundled over in the box.

And they were on top in the second half, before a mistake in defence allowed Oldham to net his second on 65 minutes.

Hendon will now turn their attentions to the FA Trophy tie at high-flying National League side Sutton on Saturday.

Hendon: Purdue, Murphy, Gordon, Tingey (Wise 46), Bray, Lee, Walker, Cole (McGovern 75), White (Nathaniel-George 75), Muir, Joseph. Unused subs: Diedhiou, Eggleton.
