Tottenham head coach Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that Scott Parker will remain at Spurs in January.

The England international has been linked with a reunion with Harry Redknapp but the Portuguese boss has moved to deny these claims.

“At this moment, it is not even a consideration,”he said. “It is very unfair that you put a player who was voted best player at Tottenham last year into the transfer market just like that.

“He’s an amazing player, it’s such a good boost for us he is back. He’s someone who can give us major help.”
