Tony Pulis was hugely impressed by Wilfried Zaha in Stoke’s goalless FA Cup third round draw with Crystal Palace yesterday.
Zaha has been touted for a big money move to the Premier League this month, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham all reportedly interested.
The 20-year-old England star was in dangerous form at Selhurst Park, drawing one acrobatic save from Potters goalkeeper Thomas Sorenson with a stinging drive before hobbling off with a minor knock shortly after the break.
Pulis was full of praise for the speedy, skilful youngster after the match, describing him as a “top, top player”.
“He looks a terrific player,” he said. “He’s got great feet.
“Like all great players and top players, his balance is wonderful.
“He can go off either side and he shifts people without even touching the ball.
“He’s a top, top player.”
The Eagles are desperate to keep hold of Zaha until the end of the season as they chase promotion to the Premier League and by playing him yesterday, it means that the forward is now cup tied.
There was good news for Eagles fans as well after manager Ian Holloway said he will be available for their trip to Burnley this weekend despite limping off against the Potters.
