Transfer news: QPR boss Harry Redknapp has admitted he is interested in signing David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas from former club Tottenham but believes it could be difficult to close the deals before tonight’s deadline.
Rangers have been tipped for a busy transfer deadline day, with defender Christopher Samba having already passed a medical at Loftus Road.
On QPR’s alleged interest in Bentley and Jenas, Redknapp told Sky Sports News: “It was difficult for David at Tottenham as I had Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale.
“It was a bit difficult for him to get in the side but we will have to wait and see. I am not sure what is happening with that one yet today.
“If Jenas is fit, he is a good player. We will have to wait and see.”
Andre Villas-Boas thinks Tottenham may have succeeded in their final day push for Champions League football had referee Andre Marriner awarded Gareth Bale a penalty - rather than book him for diving.
